The massage program at HSPM is a 594 hour program divided into two phases.
Phase I is 150 hours in length and takes approximately three months to complete. The hands-on portion is held Monday and Wednesday from 5:30—9:30 PM (Night Classes) and Tuesday/Thursday from 12:00 to 4:00 PM (Day Classes). The lecture portions for day and night classes are held Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
Phase II is 444 hours in length and takes approximately an additional 6 months to complete. During this phase, students obtain the valuable experience of massaging clients at the student clinic.
(As an alternative to Phase II, a Student may enter an apprenticeship program.)
The entire program meets the State of Hawaii licensing requirements and can be completed in approximately 9 months.
PHASE I (BASIC COURSE):
50 hours of Anatomy, Physiology, and Structural Kinesiology for the Massage Therapist.
Introduction to the human body; the chemical level of organization; cell; tissues; the integumentary system; the skeletal system; joints; muscles; the nervous system; the spinal cord: the brain; the autonomic system; the endocrine system, the cardiovascular system; the lymphatic system; the respiratory system; the digestive system; metabolism; the urinary system; the reproductive system, foundations of structural kinesiology.

Enrollment Steps:
Fill out and submit the Application For Admission form.
Call (808) 485-2808 to schedule an interview.
If making payments, fill out Payment Schedule form.
If application is accepted, pay the $100 non-refundable registration fee to reserve your enrollment.
Make arrangements to pay the $1,650.00 ($1,450 for full payment at first day of class).
Obtain Medical/TB clearance. Submit a copy of your clearance and your high school diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D).
*Textbooks will be distributed on the first day of class.
PHASE II (STUDENT CLINIC):
Student Clinic Phase (444 Hours)
The student clinic program allows students the opportunity to apply their massage skills. It is a very important phase where students improve their basic skills and acquire new skills that assures their advancement.
The student clinic program includes Day to Day Massage Establishment Operations, Clinic Policies and Procedures, Office Procedures, Record Keeping, Sanitation, and Massaging Clients at the Massage Center.
* The cost of the program is $100 per month. It takes approximately six months (part-time) to complete the 444 hours.
