Pet Cremations is an offsite crematory that is owned and managed by the same staff that manage PET Emergency Treatment.  Pet Cremations was created and is owned by area veterinarians to ensure high quality control.  Pet Cremations has been serving the Anchorage veterinary community since 1992. 

We offer private cremations where the animals are cremated individually and the owner receives their pet's ashes back.  These ashes are returned in a timely manner.  We are always perceptive to your needs should you have special requests.  At times owners have brought in flowers or a special toy to be cremated with their pet, or a poem to be read at the time of cremation. 

We also offer group cremations where the pets are not cremated individually.  These ashes are taken to an environmentally friendly site where they are recycled into flowers to help beautify the earth once again in a different form. 

Pet Cremations does pick up at most of the veterinary clinics in town.  You may ask your veterinarian if they are one of them.  If not, we are happy to pick your pet up at your veterinarian at your request.  We at P.E.T. understand it is a difficult time for you and we want to make the process as smooth as possible.  We feel that you should know about the options available to you.

Pet Cremations is happy to announce NEW SERVICES:

Home Euthanasia
P.E.T. Now does euthanasia at the owner's home for those clients who cannot bring their pets in or who simply want their pet's last moments to be in their own environment.  This is by advance appointment only.  Home Euthanasia in town is $250. plus the cost of cremation, Girdwood and Eagle River is $350. plus the cost of cremation.

We will now pick up your deceased loved pet from your house if you desire. 
This service is available 24 hours.  M-F 8AM-5PM=$35.  5PM-11PM weekdays, weekends and holidays=$55. 11PM-8AM any day=$110.  Out of town pick ups will have additional mileage charges.  Call Ruth 230-5637, or PET Emergency Treatment for arrangements.

Call for information on viewed cremations. 
This is only offered during the first cremation of the morning (cold hearth).  There is a $125.00 additional charge.

We now offer cremations for horses or other large animals. 
Call for prices and information.  We understand these are often on an unforseen basis, and therefore not during normal daytime business hours.  We are always able to help you through our 24 hour emergency hospital.  The hospital can get you in touch with the necessary crematory staff to assist you.  We understand the importance of this.  This is the reason why we now offer this service.
